Environmental Issues
http://www.h4pj.org/issues/environment.php

The protection of the environment before the corporate bottom line. America comprises only five percent of the world’s population, but we consume more than 25 percent of the world’s energy and material resources. We generate more trash and pollution than any other nation and almost as much as the entire continent of Africa. Hope for Peace & Justice believes our neglect and abuse of the environment is a moral issue, and that true moral values should include care for God’s creation.

We give voice to values such as:

The creation of a culture of peace rather than war.
The value of people over profits.
Equal rights for all people, not just the majority.
The protection of the environment before the corporate bottom line.
Healthcare as a civil right for all, not just for the wealthy.
The same quality of justice for the poor as for the rich.
We encourage you to do something to promote peace and justice in the world. Whether you are a person of faith or someone who has no professed religious or spiritual faith, it is important for you to work to overcome cynicism and complacency and take personal responsibility for making peace and doing justice.

We would love for you to get involved with Hope for Peace & Justice as a partner in this great work.  -- Michael Piazza
